  1. Run tar -xvf skywalking-storage.tar
  2. Set the config items in /config/config.properties. There are many config items in that file, but you should focus on server.port and registrycenter.connect_url.
  • server.port is the listening port of storage servers
  • registrycenter.connect_url is the zookeeper's ip:port ( set ip1:port1,ip2:port2.. , if your zookeeper is cluster mode.)
  1. Run /bin/storageServer.sh to start server.

4. Deploy Routing Servers

  1. Run tar -xvf skywalking-routing.tar
  2. Set the config items in /config/config.properties. Focus on server.port, registrycenter.connect_url and alarm.redis_server.
  • server.port is the listening port of routing servers
  • registrycenter.connect_url is the zookeeper's ip:port ( set ip1:port1,ip2:port2.. , if your zookeeper is cluster mode.)
  • alarm.redis_server is the redis's ip:port.
  1. Run /bin/routingServer.sh to start server.

5. Deploy Alarm Servers

  1. Run tar -xvf skywalking-alarm.tar
  2. Set the config items in /config/config.properties. Focus on zkpath.connect_str, db.url, db.user_name, db.password, and alarm.redis_server
    • zkpath.connect_str is the zookeeper's ip:port ( set ip1:port1,ip2:port2.. , if your zookeeper is cluster mode.)
    • db.url, db.user_name and db.password are the connection info of mysql database.
    • alarm.redis_server shoule be as same as alarm.redis_server in Routing Servers's config file.

  2. Run database script in WEB-INF/classes/table.mysql
  3. Set the config item in /WEB-INF/classes/config.properties. registrycenter.connect_url need to be set as same as Routing and Storage Servers.
  4. Set the config items in /WEB-INF/classes/jdbc.properties. All database connection info need to be set as same as Alarm Servers.

Notice: if your machine, where you deploy the sky-walking servers, have multi-NIC, you should set the binding ip, through config.properties. The config item is server.host. (since 2.1)
